Terms of Service
Effective 24 October 2026
In short: Duet Watch is a free tool that lets two people watch a video from one person's device together. Only play videos you have the right to watch and share, use it respectfully, and understand that it's provided as-is.
1. About Duet Watch
Duet Watch (duetwatch.com) is a free web app made by Sumit Baweza ("we", "us"). It lets two people watch a video that is stored on one person's device at the same time, in sync, with an optional voice and video call. The video, voice and camera stream go directly between the two devices; we do not host, store or view them.
2. Accepting these terms
By creating or joining a room, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Duet Watch.
3. Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you may use Duet Watch only with the permission of a parent or guardian.
4. Your videos and your responsibility
- You are solely responsible for the videos you play and share through Duet Watch.
- Only play videos that you own or have the legal right to watch and share with the other person, such as your own recordings or content you're licensed to use. Don't use Duet Watch to distribute pirated or copyright-infringing material.
- Never play or share content that is illegal, sexually exploits anyone (especially minors), promotes violence or hatred, or is shared without the consent of the people in it.
- Because videos travel directly between users and never reach our servers, we cannot see, monitor or remove what you share. That responsibility is yours.
5. Acceptable use
Please don't misuse Duet Watch. For example, don't:
- harass, threaten, record or impersonate the other person without their consent;
- try to break into, overload, disrupt or reverse-engineer our servers or relay;
- use bots or automated tools to create rooms, or use our servers for anything other than Duet Watch;
- break any law that applies to you.
6. Privacy
How we handle data is explained in our Privacy Policy. In short, your movie, voice and video are never sent to our server, and we don't ask for an account.
7. The service is provided "as is"
Duet Watch is free and provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. Playback quality depends on your devices, browsers and internet connections, and we don't promise the service will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, pause or stop Duet Watch at any time.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, loss of data, or any content shared between users. Our total liability for any claim relating to Duet Watch is limited to ₹1,000 (one thousand Indian rupees).
9. Indemnity
If someone makes a claim against us because of the content you shared or your breach of these Terms, you agree to cover the resulting costs and losses, to the extent permitted by law.
10. Suspension
We may block access to Duet Watch for anyone who breaks these Terms or puts the service or other people at risk.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make important changes, we'll update the date above and ask you to accept the new version before you start or join a room.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of India, unless the law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
